Realistic Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Well hello guys! I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner, can you? This year really flew by. Last year this time we didn’t even know if we would be celebrating Thanksgiving. Lilly was due on November 22nd. However, in Lilly’s stubborn fashion, she only wanted to come when she was ready. Since she was born on the 25th we didn’t have to wait to much longer, but needless to say, since I was ready to pop, my outfit options were a little limited. However, this year thats not the case. So if your stuck staring at your closet figuring out what to put on on Thanksgiving day, hopefully this post will help.

An oversized sweater and jeans, is most likely what I will be wearing. I like that the sweater has a little forgiveness, but the tight jeans keep you honest.

This look is pretty simple and one that most people have in their closet already. It is just a plaid button down and a cardigan. I paired mine with leggings. Of course leggings are amazing to wear at a holiday that revolves around eating, but this could also be paired with jeans or black pants.

A casual dress or tunic is a tad bit more formal than the other looks. I suppose this would be for those of you who might be meeting a significant others family for the first time. Or, perhaps your family is more bougie, jk. Whatever the case may be, this is a way to dress up a tiny bit, without feeling uncomfortable.

I love an oversized cardigan. They are cozy and versatile and a great option for a thanksgiving dinner. You could wear it over a lace cami or a t-shirt. If your Thanksgiving dinners have a large amount of people at them, dressing in layers isn’t a bad idea. This gives you options in case you get warm.

This look is about concept and color. The burnt orange sweater with matching scarf screams fall. However, the oversized sweater is paired with leggings. This way you are comfortable, but also put together.

6.

This is another tunic sweater and legging combo. However, this one is all about the chenille sweater. Its soft, cozy and oversized. Which, when you think about it, is pretty much Thanksgiving in a nutshell.

Last look is all about being comfortable and casual. A pullover and jeans is more polished than a sweatshirt, but just as comfortable. Most of us are just hanging out with family and watching football on Thanksgiving. This look is for those of you who just want to be comfortable for the occasion.

I know most people keep Thanksgiving very casual. I wanted this post to reflect that and even though they are all simple and effortless looks, they are realistic. Also, more than likely these are similar to something you already own. As always thank you for stopping by! I will see you for my next favorite holiday…black Friday!
