Every Day Makeup Routine

Hey guys! Thanks again for stopping by. I wanted to talk about makeup today. Lilly is almost seven months now so she is more mobile and requires more supervision then before. So, this means getting ready these days requires me to have quicker routine. So here are the products I’m using almost every day to create a polished but no fuss look.

  1. Eye shadow base- Mac soft ochre paint pot. This is a great eyeshadow base. It is affordable, lasts forever, and covers up any veins or discoloration on your eyelids. DSC_0008

2. Eye Shadow- I’ve been really liking the Tarte Aspyn Ovard Eye & Cheek Palette. I mainly use these colors: “Married Life”, “High School Sweetheart”, “Road Trip”, “Wanderlust”, and “Heart Of Gold”. I use “Married Life” all over my lid and brow bone to set my eyeshadow base. I use “High School Sweetheart” and “Road Trip” above my crease. I put “Wanderlust” directly in my crease. The last step is wetting a flat shadow brush with some form of setting spray and dipping it into “Heart Of Gold”, and placing this directly to my lid.

3. Eyeliner and Mascara- I use either Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, or the IT cosmetics Superhero Liner. Both are great and very easy to use, especially if you want to wing out your liner. For mascara, I use Benefit Cosmetic’s BADgal BANG Mascara. I like this because it’s easy to apply, and great at making my lashes long and full at the same time.

4. Concealer- I use Tarte Shape Tape. Shocker, I know. Everyone and their mother uses this. Most days I will just use this under my eyes and call it a day. However, when I feel I need a little more coverage I will use a tinted moisturizer or a bb cream. Lately I’ve been using the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in the oil free version.

5. Contour and highlight- I either use the Nars Laguna/Orgasm duo or I use the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer. For highlight I will use the Amrezy highlighter by Anastasia Beverly Hills. ***I didn’t realize until I went to link this, that it’s out of stock, so here is an alternative that I use just as much!***

6. Eyebrows- I change this up quite frequently. I almost always stick with an Anastasia Beverly Hills product. To me the easiest product to use in a hurry is the brow power.  I apply it with this brush, and use the spoolie to brush through it a couple times and you’re done!

I can pretty much do this routine in 10 minutes! All these products are amazing and I highly recommend them! If you have any questions let me know! Thanks again for stopping by and have a good one!

Thanks Alisha- After spending many, many, years at home with NO make-up I found it difficult to find a fast but beautiful pattern now that I do put on make-up. I wake up at 5AM and leave the house at 7AM- make-up needs to be FAST but of course I want to look my BEST. Printed out the instructions as I need repetition before I can do it alone. Ruth
