Hello and happy New Year! with two kids it’s been increasingly difficult to keep up with this blog, but I am going to try as hard as I can to make it more of a priority. So you came here to see if Golden Goose sneakers are worth the insane price tag….and I will go through the pros and cons and also provide you with a dupe.
So I remember the first time I saw GG sneakers and then saw the price tag and like most of you probably thought: “why would anyone pay that for dirty sneakers??” However, the more I saw them and saw the numerous ways they can be styled I started wanting them. At first I purchased a dupe pair from Goodnight Macaroon and I really liked them. However, it also made me realize how much I wanted the real thing. I wanted a pair that had leopard and glitter and found two pairs that i really liked.
So…are they worth it??? Are they comfortable? So honestly I really love them , but I still don’t think they should cost as much as they do. Yes, they are comfortable. They also have a lifted sole, meaning they are not flat so they are more comfortable than you average fashion sneaker. I don’t worry about getting them dirty since they already have a slightly worn in look. The glitter does not come off at all no matter how hard I scratch them with my nails. They also look so cute with so many outfits. I can wear them with leggings, jeans, dresses, skirts and even sweats or joggers.
So lastly, even though I still think the price point is high, can I at least justify the cost? And the answer is yes. People spends hundreds of dollars on dresses and heels they will only wear on special occasions; so why not on a pair of sneakers you will wear all the time?
